For my final blog post I am going to reflect on my experience in my English Composition I class. Before I took this class I hated anything to do with English. English has never been my stronger class, and I went into this class absolutely dreading it. Along with hating English as a with a passion I also had never taken a physical class. I always had taken online courses because, not only did they work better with my schedule, but I was also scared of physically going to a college class. I was afraid I would be the mean professor, and that I would end up failing out of the class. Not to mention I had already bombed the placement test and ending up in the ALP class as well. Upon my arrival I went into the room and sat in the corner very nervous. When Dr. Mangini had arrived I originally thought he was a student until he set his bag on the desk. I was shocked. I pictured an older gentleman, but was slightly hopeful when I saw him. He was not what I had expected at all. As he went on with the syllabus I had a positive feeling for the rest of the semester, and boy was I right! Unfortunately this semester went too quickly, but I am happy to say that I enjoyed it. As for my ALP group it was a small group. For the first couple week no one talked. As the weeks went on our bond grew bigger. Along with the extra help we had received I left the course with 5 new friends. I feel that I wouldn't have been so successful with the class if I didn't have this course. This time gave me time to ask questions, and be presented with any one-on-one feedback from Dr. Mangini. Along with the friendships gained throughout the course I grew as a writer. I learned the importance of a process while writing. You can’t just throw words onto the screen to be graded. You need to think, have a format, and revise. Throughout this course I developed a want to write. I now feel confident putting my thoughts onto paper. Without the help of Dr. Mangini I would still have a burning hatred for writing.

Although it may not be apparent throughout this as a class we have completed various tasks while composing. We have done things that have helped us build out writing process. In my blog post Look What Lizzy Did I highlighter many of my accomplishment I have completed during this course. For this blog post I will be highlighting the some things we have done together as a class. Although we have done more than this here are 10 of the things we have done as a class this semester:
1.) We have all made it.
2.) We learned to make meaning.
3.) We traveled in spiritual, physical, and mental spaces.
4.) We created social connections.
5.) We joined academic conversations.
6.) We built literacies.
7.) We explored various genres.
8.) We engaged in processes.
9.) We applied authorial choice.
10.) We understood what it is like as a writer in today's world.
It may not feel like it, but we all have walked away from this course with more knowledge about writing than we had before. During this course we learned the important of a process. All of the things we accomplish have helped us in one way or another to form a process for our writing. As this semester is ending I wanted to take time to highlight my accomplishments that I have achieved within in English Composition course here at DCCC.
1.) Lizzy got over her fear of actually going to class.
In this blog post I will talk about the process I used while writing my research paper. I will mention my approaches, processes, and even my struggles I encountered during this piece of work.
